Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance Power BI semantic models and reports
- Work hands-on with existing enterprise data models
- Implement changes using best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Support deployment, lifecycle management, and controlled releases
- Contribute to a stable, governed analytics platform through high-quality delivery
Requirements
Core Technical Skills
Power BI & Semantic Modeling
- Advanced Power BI Desktop development
- Strong DAX skills (complex measures, optimization)
- Tabular modeling and Power Query (M)
- Hands-on experience with:
- XMLA Endpoints
- Tabular Editor 2/3
- DAX Studio
- ALM Toolkit
- Experience with enterprise-scale Power BI deployments
Microsoft Fabric (Modern Platform Exposure)
- Practical experience working in a Microsoft Fabric–based analytics environment
- Understanding of how Power BI semantic models operate within Fabric
- Experience consuming and modeling data provided via Fabric-managed sources
Data & Engineering Basics
- Solid SQL knowledge
- Experience with Snowflake as a data source (desirable)
- Understanding of refresh strategies and performance considerations
- Familiarity with Git-based version control
- CI/CD exposure for Power BI or analytics platforms is a plus
