Position Summary The Department of Obstetrics Gynecology is seeking an Instructor to support educational initiatives, including scholarly activity and academic project development within the OBGYN ACGME-accredited Residency Program. This position plays an important role in supporting ACGME requirements and strengthening the department's academic and educational infrastructure. The position will provide guidance and structured support to residents, fellows, and faculty participating in scholarly and academic projects. Responsibilities include assisting with project planning, regulatory coordination, scholarly writing, presentations, tracking academic activities, and disseminating scholarly work. The Instructor will also help develop educational resources and processes that support scholarly engagement and accreditation-related reporting. This role supports the department's mission of academic excellence, trainee education, quality improvement, and scholarly development. Duties Responsibilities Residency Educational Support Support resident educational initiatives in alignment with ACGME program requirements. Assist residents with the development and coordination of scholarly and academic projects. Provide guidance and educational support related to: project planning and organization, timeline development and milestone tracking, institutional submission and approval processes, academic writing and presentation preparation, poster, abstract, and manuscript formatting, and conference and meeting submission process. Track resident scholarly activity progress, presentations, and completion outcomes. Coordinate resident academic presentations for Research Day, Grand Rounds, departmental conferences, and external meetings. Develop and maintain standardized templates, timelines, educational tools, and resource materials to support resident scholarly activity. Provide individualized support and coaching to residents navigating scholarly activity requirements. Faculty and Departmental Academic Support Collaborate with faculty mentors and residency leadership to support trainee scholarly development. Provide academic support to faculty and fellows related to scholarly and educational activities, including: project coordination, presentation preparation, manuscript editing and formatting, submission coordination, and quality improvement and educational initiatives. Assist with organizational and coordination of departmental academic initiatives and scholarly events. Serve as a liaison between the department and institutional support offices involved in scholarly and educational activities. Programmatic and Accreditation Support Assist with scholarly activity tracking and reporting for accreditation, annual program evaluation, and departmental review processes. Support departmental educational programming and academic initiatives. Help develop and maintain standardized workflows and processes that support trainee scholarly engagement and program compliance. Promote a collaborative academic environment that supports scholarly participation by residents, fellows, and faculty. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
