Job Description
General Description:
The Credentialing Specialist will work directly with MSP affiliate vendors as well as Supplemental Health Care peers to ensure quality and timely starts and will verify documents in accordance with Supplemental Health Care and MSP contract specific standards. The Credentialing Specialist will work directly with other team members and Clients as assigned to establish and maintain compliance expectations for their respective MSP facilities(s).
Essential Job Functions – MSP:
Support Joint Commission, Client and SHC standards to achieve and maintain 100% compliance for all candidates on assignment
Process compliance files in accordance with corporate policies and procedures, and any relevant client requirements (ie. primary source license verifications, background/drug screenings, medical requirements etc.)
Facilitate and track onboarding paperwork as applicable
Review talent paperwork for accuracy and completeness
Communicate with all clients, affiliate vendors and SHC peers regarding the status of candidate compliance files
Perform client audits as required
Perform and maintain client specific reporting and additional documentation as required.
Escalate issues and concerns to leadership when appropriate
Monitor and notify candidate representative of upcoming expiration dates of required compliance documents
Attend team and client meetings and possess the knowledge, ability and presence to provide data and status updates per client requests
Maintain and update compliance records in SHC and client/VMS databases as required
Meet targeted deadlines and start dates
Establish and maintain professional working relationships with affiliate vendors, internal peers, leaders, and clients (as applicable)
Meet performance metrics as outlined by leadership
Demonstrate exemplary customer service to all external and internal customers
Demonstrate ethical problem-solving skills
Help to create an environment of high morale, motivation, and teamwork
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Talents:
Associates Degree and/or 2 years equivalent experience preferred
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with affiliate vendors, peers, multiple levels of leadership and clients (if applicable)
Must have a working knowledge of computers vendor management systems and software systems including Microsoft Office products and the Internet
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
Ability to work independently and with other team members
Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner
Ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Must be able to work for prolonged periods of sitting, typing and use of the phone and computer
Must successfully complete onboarding training/tutorials and attend future webcasts/trainings as required
