Job Description
This position is part of Cigna's Encore program designated exclusively for eligible Retirees of Cigna.
Responsibilities:
- Support leadership in developing strategy and execution the teams technical development and implementation.
- Provide consultation on all data architecture and analytics design related projects.
- Work with outside vendors to explore new data sources, tools, and capabilities to advance the Analytics+ team’s direction.
- Partner with Leaders (Director+ levels) across the organization to gain visibility on issues and partner on solutions.
- Support and aid in the development of efficient and optimized software
- Triage issues, research cross-functionally across the enterprise, and report back findings.
- Be a liaison to IT and work closely with the ETL and DBA teams
- Assist the team with all matters of development
- Provide learning sessions where applicable to knowledge share based on my experience with the IW
- Partner with the Data governance team to further their goals and catalog knowledge through desired methods
Required Skills:
- Must have deep knowledge and considered a SME for Evernorth data model, POS adjudication, and ETL processes
- Deep understanding of existing data flows into and out of the organization.
- Experience in creating new data pipelines, platforms, and analytical capabilities.
- SQL Expert Level
- POS Adjudication experience
- Advanced Database management (Teradata, DB2) skills
Complexity:
- Will be required to work cross functionally with leaders and executives (B5+) in partner organizations. This includes Finance, Sales / Account Management, Consultant relations, Clinical Operations, and application teams. They will work in collaboration to prioritize deliverables, align on future strategy, and manage current workload.
- Requires very deep SME knowledge of Evernorth data, finance, and operations to solve new and existing problems in the analytical space.
- Capability to propose innovative solutions, and influence leadership buy-in from various partner organizations.
- Create new solutions to enable team to fulfill increasingly complex deliverables while maintaining relatively flat staffing levels.
- Consultation with account teams, financial analysts, and in some cases, clients and brokers to help understand complex PBM-related (benefit setup, trend management solutions, pricing, and utilization) issues and inquiries.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analytics for Account teams and clients. This requires combining business knowledge and data acumen along with technical (SQL, Python, Tableau) skills to efficiently complete these ad-hoc requests. Query data warehouse(s) using variety of tools available. Extract data and manipulate into reports for client both internal and external. Maintain turn-around times per contractual agreements.
- Delegate responsibilities for assignment of ad-hoc reporting and analytic requests within the team. Managing competing priorities and escalations. Managing to service level agreements and collaboration with clients on meeting expected deadlines.
- Cross-Functional collaboration with Application teams, Finance, Research, IT and other departments as needed to identify opportunities for development and automation of new or existing models or reports.
