Job Description
Position Title: Sales Manager - Project, K B Malaysia Opportunity Within delegated responsibility and authority of GM Commercial Director-SE Asia, responsible for planning, conducting and evaluating all project field sales activities to promote and support the Kohler brand name in the assigned project market as follows: 1. Drive project sales growth in Malaysia by developing and managing a strong pipeline across residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed‑use projects. 2. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders including developers, architects, designers, consultants, and project decision‑makers. 3. Act as the primary project sales representative for Kohler in Malaysia, ensuring strong brand presence and advocacy in the project segment. 4. Support, guide, and train distributor project sales teams to improve project conversion, specification win‑rate, and execution quality. 5. Develop and execute state‑level project strategies to maximize coverage, prioritize key accounts, and align product mix with market needs. Specific responsibilities: 1. Establish and maintain regular contact with major specifiers, mechanical contractors, designers, builders, developers, and the lodging industry within the assigned area. 2. Identify and recommend appropriate promotional and support material required to enhance the image of Kohler within the project market and new residential market. 3. Coordinate and implement presentations to major specifiers, mechanical contractors, designers, builders, developers and the lodging industry to introduce new products, assist in selecting product, writing proposals, specifications and obtaining approval of Kohler products. 4. Work with local government authorities and inspectors to assure specific local approvals, listings or product standard tests. 5. Coordinate and suggest company participation in industry associations and trade shows to promote Kohler products. 6. Educate distributor personnel with regard to Kohler Malaysia’s project and new residential programs and the process involved in requesting quotations, submitting and releasing orders for jobs. 7. Prepare and maintain required reports and forms related to daily sales activities, expenses, correspondence, etc. 8. Coordinate and administer sales support materials, i.e. audio-visual equipment, literature, displays, product samples, catalogs and other sales materials.
