Logan Health Whitefish is searching for a RN to take on a Seasonal 13-week position with their Medical/Surgical team!
Logan Health Whitefish is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in the scenic ski resort town of Whitefish, Montana. We are in the heart of the Flathead Valley, which offers an endless array of outdoor recreation, skiing, hiking and biking trails, whitewater rafting, and the breathtaking Glacier National Park. About our Unit:
Our 14-bed Medical Surgical unit offers a fast-paced and collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical needs. With a strong surgical population including joint replacements, orthopedic procedures, and general and urologic surgeries, our team works closely with providers, therapists, and hospitalists to ensure continuity and excellence in care.
We prioritize teamwork, communication, whole-person healing, and a model of care that places the patient experience at the center. Daily multidisciplinary rounds and close collaboration with physical therapy help us keep patients moving and healing.
Seasonal Position Details:
Full-Time work schedule required for no less than 13-week period
15% Premium (Seasonal Differential)
Additional night and weekend shift differential pay

Seasonal Minimum Qualification:
Seasonal RN must have 2 years applicable nursing experience to the unit assigned.

Qualifications:
Current Montana RN license or a multi state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.
BSN degree preferred.
RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first.
Job Specific Duties:
Applies professional nursing using the nursing process and adheres to therapeutic and regulatory standards to ensure quality care.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to resolve patient needs and prioritizes timely nursing care based on individualized care plans.
Safely performs technical procedures, medication administration, and completes accurate documentation and patient hand-offs per protocols.
Precepts and mentors new staff and students, supports patient teaching, and ensures smooth discharge planning and continuity of care.
Conducts chart audits for quality improvement and manages malfunctioning equipment promptly and appropriately.
Maintains patient privacy, dignity, and a clean, comfortable environment while strictly observing HIPAA regulations.

Shift:
Night Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)Schedule: Full-time hours, 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts for 13 weeks.
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
