Position Description

Performs various duties required to maintain inventory accuracy levels and support the flow of materials through the plant.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manages a formal cycle counting program for the plant.
  2. Generates, distributes and enters correct counts for the location.
  3. Uses inventory control software for all inventory transactions and operates scan gun or computer to perform material movements; ensures inventory accuracy by investigating and correcting variances through cycle counting.
  4. Investigates, identifies, and reports root cause of inventory discrepancies and recommends corrective action.
  5. Runs appropriate reports that provide information for inventory analysis and decision making.
  6. Maintains tracking of deviations and engineering change notices (ECN).
  7. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Familiarity and understanding of inventory control software
  • Detail oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use spreadsheets and ERP system
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

High School diploma

Experience Requirements

2 years experience in a manufacturing and/or inventory control environment preferred.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Some physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material, may be required to lift up to 70lbs.
Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Generally good working conditions.
