Category Sales Manager

Charles Hughes Ltd (Portwest), distributor of Portwest leisurewear, workwear, safety footwear and PPE is seeking applications for the position of Category Sales Manager based in our Westport Head Office. Portwest is one of the fastest growing clothing companies in the world and currently employs over 5,300 staff worldwide.

As part of the Portwest group, Charles Hughes Ltd. leads the distribution of Portwest branded clothing in Ireland, supplying over 1,000 customers and employing 100 people in Ireland. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a dynamic company.

 

 WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL BE

•  Managing & developing sales for Portwest leisurewear product ranges in stores and online
• Lead on product marketing for Portwest leisurewear category 
• Lead on social media promotion and work with influencers
• Co-ordinate photo shoots
• Work with Graphics and Marketing to develop catalogues and promotional materials
• Manage the products on web stores and marketplaces
• Travel to trade shows
• Collaborate with product designers on new range development
• Present ranges to key clients to grow the business

 

 PERSON REQUIREMENTS

• Degree level qualification in business or marketing or equivalent experience.
• 2 years’ experience in a relevant sales/marketing role.
• Experience with ecommerce
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
