JOB LOCATION

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Provider Support Assistant to perform administrative responsibilities in support of one or more physician(s) and/or advanced provider(s). 

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule/reschedule patient clinic appointments, per department policy.

  • Contact patient and referring physician to communicate appointments as well as obtain information and document contact in EPIC.

  • Send information to patients.

  • Send/receive messages through In-Basket within Maestro Care.

  • Answer phones and triage per division policies.

  • Monitor open encounter report.

  • Submit SCR requests (bumps) for days out of clinic.

  • -Work bump list less than 8 weeks out.

  • Work with Epilepsy dept to schedule long term EEG admissions and coordinate any needed consults or studies.

  • Schedule EEG’s, MRI (non-sedated, sedated and GA), Neuropsych testing, VDH infusions, CT, Ultrasound, ECHO’s and EKG’s.

  • Provide support to the front desk and scheduling HUB’s to set up patient appointment.

  • Contact families about KETO DIET admissions. 

  • Work closely with outpt and inpt pre-reg to make sure authorizations are obtained.

  • Scheduled Lumbar Puncture’s for patients and coordinate with our residents. 

 

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • One year of clerical, office support, or related experience is required; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

 

JOB HOURS

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
