JOB SUMMARY |
|
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a large role in the maintenance and up of Albany International’s industrial equipment. Over time, the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks, each associated with the classification of a Maintenance Mechanic. |
|
SAFETY AND PROCEDURES |
|
· Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures and JIBS applicable to the job. · Use appropriate PPE that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role. · Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned. · Report all safety hazards observed. If capable, correct the safety hazard identified. |

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS |

· Must be able to safely operate all tools · Must be qualified as a millwright or industrial mechanic. · Must be familiar with or willing and able to learn operation of boilers, thermal oil heaters, air conditioning systems, and pneumatic controls. · Must be willing to attend technical or other schools to become sufficiently proficient in all of the above areas and operations to do the tasks required. |
· Able to load/unload heavy, large packages when necessary · Operate Forklift · Cleans up work area · Cross-trains to other processes · Reads, understands, and is committed to conducting business under Albany International’s Business Ethics Policy. All business of the company should, at all times, be conducted ethically, fairly, honestly, and with integrity. |
