Position Overview

 

Bureau Veritas seeks an experienced Senior Geodetic Engineer to lead geodetic surveying and positioning projects across infrastructure and construction sectors.


Key Responsibilities

 

  • Design and oversee geodetic surveys, GPS/GNSS operations, and control networks
  • Lead survey teams and manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Ensure compliance with geodetic standards (ISO 19100 series)
  • Prepare technical reports and project deliverables
  • Mentor junior engineers and serve as primary client contact
  • Advise on geodetic methodologies and best practices

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Geodesy, Surveying, or Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Geodetic Engineer (PE/PLS) or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of professional geodetic engineering experience
  • Proficiency with survey equipment (GPS/GNSS, total stations, laser scanning)
  • Strong knowledge of coordinate systems, datums, and spatial reference frameworks
  • Experience with geodetic software (Trimble, Leica, ArcGIS)
  • Excellent project management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • LiDAR and photogrammetry experience
  • Infrastructure or construction surveying background
  • BIM workflow familiarity
  • International project experience
