Care Assistant Evenings/Weekends
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Evening/Weekend Care Assistant to join our team in Brighton, United Kingdom.
As an Evening/Weekend Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support and care to our clients in their homes during the evening hours.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to clients' dietary requirements
- Perform light housework to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Accompany clients to evening appointments or social activities when required
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or well-being
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns
- Collaborate with other care team members to ensure continuity of care
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and seek assistance when necessary
To work for us, you must:
- Have the Right to Work in UK
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence and own transport (if applicable)
- Consent to an enhanced DBS check
- Be over 18

You will be a special sort of person with:
- Genuine passion for caring for others and a compassionate nature
- Previous experience in a care assistant role is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks
- Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic
- Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle (preferred)
- Flexibility to work evenings and or weekends
- Willingness to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity at all times
- Ability to follow care plans and adhere to company policies and procedures
