Johnsburg School District #12 is currently seeking qualified individuals to fill a vacancy in the Food Service Department. 

REPORTS TO:
Food Service Manager and Director
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work Year: School days when children are present

• 172 Days
• Hours vary
• $15.00/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:   

• High School diploma/equivalent
• Education and/or experience in Food Service a plus
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate a plus
• Knowledge of and ability to use Food Service machines, appliances, materials and tools
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Respect confidentiality
• Must be able to use tact and diplomacy in human relations

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete tasks or responsibilities as directed by Food Service Manager or Food Service Director's guidelines
• Prepare food to assure that planned menus are followed
• Knowledge of food productions and sanitation etc.
• Lifting of large pots and cans of food for preparation and serving of school lunches
• Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
