Hospital functional & Operational planner

HOSPITAL FUNCTIONAL & OPERATIONAL PLANNER

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the functional planning lifecycle for modern healthcare facilities. 

Your role:

• Develop functional and operational layouts and flow concepts for hospital projects
• Translate clinical/operational requirements into space programs, adjacency diagrams and workflow models
• Collaborate with design, architecture, engineering and clinical stakeholders
• Analyze and define department functions (inpatient, outpatient, diagnostics, support services) and their infrastructure needs
• Collaborate and provide consultancy on the functional plans, room data sheets, medical equipment lists and operational protocols
• Participate in design coordination meetings and review supplier data and system interfaces
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, codes, accreditation and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with clients, clinicians and operational leadership to integrate strategy, clinical processes and architecture

What we think the right candidate should look like:

• High School or University Degree in biomedical/nursing field and education/experience in a technical field is an advantage
• Strong understanding of hospital operations, clinical workflows, and functional space planning
• 5+ years of experience in hospital functional planning, healthcare facility design or operational planning in healthcare/infrastructure projects   
• Experience in preparing functional plans, room data sheets, adjacency diagrams and equipment specification
• Written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Communicative English
