Job Description

  • Develop a good understanding of market expectations for localization quality and how Google's products fit in the market, and create language strategy to enable native language experience to users.
  • Be a critical partner for the Japan-focused teams with stakeholders in Marketing, Product and PR to enable native language experiences for Google’s products for Japanese users.
  • Engage regularly with local stakeholders (Marketing, PR and product teams) to understand their priorities, and share updates on language strategy and global localization services.
  • Create Japanese language guidelines and language strategy for Google, taking into account input from users, stakeholders, and tech language industry trends.
  • Develop an understanding of the Japan market and user expectations for Japanese language quality and how to use language to achieve market and user needs. Propose language studies and user insights to ever-improve this understanding.
