Position Explanation:
Provide expeditious and courteous service while maintaining a clean area and a positive outlook. Wait on customers at the counter. Maintain stocked shelves. Keep supervisors advised of product shortages and problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and handle customer requests promptly and courteously.
- Enter counter sales tickets into the computer with the necessary catalog numbers, quantities and sufficient description for accurate pricing.
- Answer the telephone promptly and courteously and handle telephone inquiries and orders promptly and accurately.
- Sell merchandise, develop and present a sales personality with all customers.
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of plumbing, heating and industrial supply products is a plus.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
