Job Description
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong interest in data governance, regulatory compliance, and data management frameworks. The ideal candidate combines analytical capabilities with strong stakeholder engagement skills and is comfortable working across business, technology, and control functions. They demonstrate a proactive mindset, the ability to translate complex governance requirements into practical actions, and a commitment to driving data quality, accountability, and policy adoption within a regulated financial environment.
What you will be responsible for:
Data Governance Execution
- Support implementation and maintenance of the Data Governance Policy, standards, and controls
- Translate policy requirements into operational procedures and guidance
- Contribute to updates of governance documentation and frameworks
Governance Controls and Oversight
- Support execution and documentation of data governance controls (e.g., Archer)
- Assist in tracking KPIs/KRIs for governance effectiveness
- Contribute to audit readiness, internal control testing, and regulatory reporting
Governance Forums & Reporting
- Support preparation of materials and updates for:
- Data Governance Leads Forum
- Enterprise Data Management Committee (EDMC)
- Track actions, escalations, and governance outcomes
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance:
- Governance processes and controls
- Data quality management
- Stakeholder engagement and adoption
What we value:
- Strong understanding of:
- Data governance frameworks and policies
- Data quality, lineage, and metadata concepts
- Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Archer)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across business, IT, and control functions
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, STEM or related discipline
- Professional Experience
- Proven experience in:
- Data governance
- Data management
- Risk management or regulatory compliance
- Experience in financial services or a regulated environment preferred
- Exposure to BCBS 239 / RDAR / data governance frameworks is advantageous
