Position overview
The Consolidation and Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information through a strong controlling lens, while supporting global consolidation and reporting processes. This role serves as the Corporate Controller for the Mexico entity, driving robust financial governance, compliance, and operational excellence by implementing best-in-class accounting practices, strengthening internal controls, and optimizing financial processes. In parallel, the position contributes to the global consolidation function by ensuring high-quality data submission, reviewing financial information, and supporting statutory and management reporting. The role plays a key part in enhancing financial visibility, enabling informed decision-making, and driving continuous improvement through process standardization, automation, and transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the Mexico entity financial statements (IFRS, local GAAP, and tax), including oversight of month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Act as Corporate Controller for Mexico, strengthening internal controls, governance, and accounting practices while ensuring alignment with corporate policies and statutory requirements.
- Lead financial analysis, including P&L performance, variance analysis, and business case development to support decision-making and operational strategy.Manage and coordinate external audits and tax compliance activities, including preparation of supporting schedules, audit documentation, and collaboration with external advisors.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation across finance and controlling activities to enhance efficiency and reliability of financial reporting.Support global consolidation and reporting processes, including preparation, review, and validation of financial data, consolidation entries, and reporting submissions.
- Collaborate with global, regional, and GBS teams to ensure accurate transactions, resolve issues, and maintain effective intercompany, leasing, and treasury operations.
- Lead and support transformation, change management, and cross-functional initiatives, including cost optimization, system enhancements (SAP), and post-M&A integration efforts.
Required skills and experience
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in controlling and financial reporting, consolidation or public accounting preferably within the manufacturing industry.

Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, with hands-on experience in complex accounting topics.

Proven experience managing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Experience working with cross-functional and global stakeholders in a matrix organizationProficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems; experience with tools like Blackline or BPC is a plus.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required.
