Digital Product Owner – AI & Automation | Embla Medical 

Are you passionate about leveraging AI and automation to drive meaningful business impact? Do you enjoy connecting business needs with digital solutions and leading initiatives from idea to delivery? 

Embla Medical is looking for a Digital Product Owner to lead AI & Automation initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify, shape, and deliver high-impact AI solutions. You will play a key role in our newly launched Digital Innovation Hub, helping transform ideas into scalable, value-driven products in an international environment with a strong purpose. 

 

What you will do  

You will play a key role in driving the development and delivery of AI initiatives, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technical execution. That includes: 

  • Own, prioritize, and maintain a clear and visible AI & Automation backlog and roadmap for leadership and stakeholders 

  • Act as the intake point for AI initiatives, standardizing the intake process and enabling transparency through structured workflows 

  • Evaluate and route initiatives   

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify AI use cases  

  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Security and Infrastructure to ensure initiatives meet technical and compliance standards before build begins 

  • Drive agile delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews 

  • Report on pipeline progress, delivery, and value realization 

  • Support business units in embedding AI solutions into their workflows  

  • Promote a test-and-learn culture, enabling rapid experimentation and iteration 

 

What we are looking for  

The bridge-builder side of this role is important. We are looking for someone who: 

  • Has strong communication skills 

  • Is comfortable being the person in the room who asks the hard prioritization questions 

  • Has strong hands-on experience in product ownership or digital product management (5+ years) 

  • Deep knowledge of AI and its practical business applications, automation, predictive models, generative AI 

  • Has worked with agile teams and knows their way around Jira 

  • Has experience with data-driven products and understands what good data foundations look like
