Job Description
Ensure the efficient and safe delivery of petroleum products to customers by providing clear directions to tanker drivers and overseeing the inspection of vehicles. This includes allocating and distributing delivery notes, instructing drivers on loading and overall driving procedures, and assisting the Shift Supervisor in tracking vehicles. The role is responsible for monitoring the loading and delivery process, ensuring proper allocation of delivery notes, and maintaining accountability for safe and efficient driving, delivery, and fuel discharging procedures by tanker drivers.
Route Assessment and Planning
• Assess and validate tanker routes for new customer sites to ensure safe and efficient access.
• Identify potential risks such as road conditions, traffic constraints, height/weight restrictions, and environmental hazards.
• Recommend optimal routes and alternative access options where required.
Site Accessibility Evaluation
• Conduct on-site evaluations for new and redeveloped locations to determine tanker accessibility.
• Assess entry/exit points, turning radius, loading/unloading areas, and safety conditions.
• Provide documented feedback and recommendations for Operations prior to site approval.
Training and Development of Drivers
• Assist in training new drivers in safe tanker operations, route familiarization, and company procedures.
• Support ongoing competency assessment of existing drivers through on-the-job evaluation and feedback.
• Mentor drivers on safe driving practices, emergency response, and customer interaction standards.
Operational Support and Coordination
• Provide field support to Operations during new site activations or route changes.
• Assist in resolving on-site operational issues related to tanker access or delivery challenges.
Documentation and Reporting
• Prepare and submit reports on site assessments, route evaluations, and driver performance.
• Maintain accurate records of observations, recommendations, and completed assessments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.
Minimum 10 Years’ experience in driving heavy vehicles preferably of articulated type.
High School or Higher
Driver with Valid License:

- Trailer & Semi-Trailer
- Tanker Truck
- Trailer Tanker
Handling Hazards Material
