Manager, Merchandising, e-Commerce, Asia Pacific

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This position’s primary responsibility is to develop and implement effective merchandising and planning strategies for the Rest of Asia e-commerce business for the Calvin Klein Brand (All Asia but China), from forecasting and planning to site operations.

This position is responsible for achieving the Net Sales & Gross Margin financial plans, achieving the sales and profit plans established.

This position is also responsible for optimizing the life cycle of products online, which goes from “on-time” product introduction to effective site product visual merchandising and product animation calendar.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB: 

Merchandising and Planning strategy

  • Accountable for the achievement of e-commerce Gross Margin financial plans for the HK+ markets (HK, SG, MY, TW) for Calvin Klein & Tommy Hilfiger brands
  • Define and implement sales planning & forecasting (per Month and brand line) for e-commerce business
  • Determine the sales promotions and strategies to drive the Net Sales growth for the HK+ Markets
  • Determine and drive the strategic focus of the overall product area: identify online growth areas, business trends, leverage on retail product assortment, Brand lines performance.
  • Ensure tight coordination with Asia Merchandising & Promotions Calendar & buying and allocation teams on inventory replenishment
  • Partner with design, corporate merchandising and licensees to ensure that Asia.com’s product needs are met.
  • Partner with SI agency to ensure data flow (particularly sales data) is error-free daily

E-commerce product life cycle management and e-commerce site content/VM management

  • Work with your team to ensure:
  • Ensure the visual merchandising of products on the site(s) are optimized.
  • Enure to have an error-free site
  • Ensure good quality production of product digital assets (including product pictures and description) by working collaboratively with Merchandising and Marketing teams.
  • Ensure smooth strategic A/B Testing ideas to execute
  • Formulate and execute the sales plan through the right product animation plan on the e-commerce site(s), product sequencing, product promotions on the site
  • Partner with site content & digital marketing team on-site content and copy requirements
  • Manage e-commerce inventory and sell-through. minimize excess stock, identify “long inventory” and “out-of-stock” styles
  • Ensure products are available-to-market at the right time. Maximize the seasonal life cycle & with 3rd Party Marketplace team to ensure inventory is supported and replenished efficiently in both channels
  • Oversee Customer Service and ensure the CS agency is supported on key queries
  • Collaborate with other departments/parties to ensure that all tasks are successfully executed.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, annual reports on KPIs for site and sales performance
  • Be involved in any new site launch or planning & design phase on UAT, etc

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Senior experience in Merchandising role within retail e-commerce
  • Fashion Buying experience and OTB process is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
