We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Cape Town office.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence Operations team. In this role, you will support data quality, enrichment, and analysis initiatives across CRM and related systems, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and aligned to organisational standards. You will perform tasks such as data validation, account mapping, de-duplication, and data matching, while also contributing to insights generation and reporting. The role requires strong Excel skills, a solid analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently to identify and resolve data issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Enrichment, Quality and Analysis

  • Research, create, and maintain account and contact records within CRM systems in line with defined project and business requirements.

  • Validate, update, and manage key data fields including company attributes, contact roles, account hierarchies, and segmentation.

  • Enrich and enhance datasets using approved internal and external sources to improve accuracy, completeness, and usability.

  • Apply and uphold standardised naming conventions, data logic, and business rules when creating or updating records.

  • Analyse data sets to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, taking corrective action where appropriate.

  • Maintain clear audit trails and documentation of data updates and enrichment activities.

Project Execution and Collaboration

  • Independently deliver assigned data initiatives within agreed timelines, ensuring adherence to quality and governance standards.

  • Collaborate with BI, operations, and cross-functional teams to interpret data requirements, field definitions, and validation rules.

  • Proactively identify recurring data issues, trends, and root causes, and recommend process improvements.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardisation of data enrichment processes, tools, and best practices.

  • Provide regular progress updates and escalate risks or blockers as needed.

Governance and Reporting

  • Ensure all data updates align with established data governance frameworks and organisational standards.

  • Support reporting and basic analysis efforts by preparing clean, reliable datasets for downstream use.

  • Produce clear, structured documentation of processes, methodologies, and project outputs.

  • Participate actively in team discussions, sharing insights and contributing to data quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and relevant experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel (e.g. data manipulation, functions, basic analysis); experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms preferred.

  • Experience with data research techniques and professional networking platforms (LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, etc.) is a plus.

  • Strong research, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Attributes:

  • Curious and proactive, with the ability to identify data gaps and propose improvements.

  • Analytical thinker with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.

  • Organised and accountable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

  • Collaborative and solution-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Comfortable working with structured processes while contributing ideas to enhance them.
