The Principal Platform Engineer is a visionary technical leader who defines and drives the platform engineering future across a modern DevSecOps ecosystem spanning GitLab SaaS, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, and Ansible Automation Platform. You will architect the convergence of enterprise CI/CD, governance-as-code, and agentic AI automation, building self-healing, AI-integrated platforms that empower thousands of developers to ship faster, safer, and smarter. This role shapes long-term platform strategy, drives GitLab Duo and Event-Driven Ansible into production at scale, and leads a high-performing team through a once-in-a-generation DevSecOps transformation. The best platform engineers don't just build tools, they build the future of how software gets made. If you see AI not as a feature but as the foundation of the next platform generation and you want to build the rails that a top-10 U.S. bank's engineering future runs on, this is your seat.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
