Position Summary:
The Cut to Length Support worker is responsible for the shipping and receiving of deliveries, cutting of wire rope, and general warehouse duties.
Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
- Promotes and demonstrates Wurtec’s core values (dedicated, hardworking, ambitious, willing to accept responsibility, and integrity).
- Practices safe work habits and complies with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
- Operates wire rope cutting machines to fulfill customer orders.
- Ship company product and record shipments in our ERP software, as well as freight company websites.
- Pick and stage product to meet customer shipment schedules.
- Track inventory levels and order needed supplies in a timely manner.
- Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained.
- Constantly work to improve processes.
- Unload incoming materials and compare information to packing slip with purchase order to verify shipment.
- Operate dolly and forklift for loading and unloading of supplies.
- Inspect shipments for damage or defects, make note of any damage/defects found and notify supervisor.
- Full-time/in-person attendance is an essential function of this job.

Technical Skills:
- Aptitude for learning company ERP, Epicor.
- Basic computer skills, data entry, and Microsoft Office.

- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Works effectively both independently and as a team.

Education & Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a related position
- Experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Forklift experience (preferred)
Work Environment:
This role primarily operates in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled. The noise level is described as heavy and may be exposed to oils and moving mechanical parts. The use of limbs is required to operate machinery. This role requires constant lifting up to 25 lbs., frequent lifting up to 75 lbs., and occasional lifts up to 100 lbs. This role requires standing for long periods of time, kneeling, pushing, reaching, stooping/twisting, climbing, crouching, driving, grasping/gripping, pulling, reaching overhead, and squatting. Near and far visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech is required. This role is not eligible to considered for remote work.
