Job Description:

SCOPE: The Director of Corporate and Community Engagement is a relationship-driven philanthropy leader and mission ambassador for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Foundation. This role carries primary responsibility for building and managing a portfolio of corporate and community partners and leading a team of philanthropy professionals. Through strategic cultivation of corporate sponsors, community fundraisers, third-party events, and cause-aligned partnerships, this key role expands MBPCF’s regional presence and philanthropic impact, connecting the business community to the life-changing work we do for patients and families across the communities we serve.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.  Builds and manages a dynamic portfolio of 50–75 active corporate and community partner relationships, driving cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, sponsorship benefit fulfillment, and community presence to deepen partnerships and grow revenue  
2.  Provides strategic oversight of the corporate and community partnership program, designing and managing a comprehensive giving and engagement plan that supports short- and long-term revenue goals across assigned streams  
3.  Leads, mentors, and develops a team of philanthropy professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence and mission alignment  
4.  Serves as a collaborative advisor to the philanthropy team on all event initiatives including salon events, community gatherings, and special events, making recommendations that ensure active engagement and support across all communities served    

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate fundraising, sponsorship development, or business development; supervisory experience required; healthcare philanthropy and portfolio management experience preferred
