Simulated Participant Manager coordinates, manages, and oversee simulated participants (SPs), Gynecological Teaching Associates (GTAs), and the daily operations of the Clinical Skills Center including collaborating with faculty and staff.Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in simulation-based education, healthcare education, or clinical skills training.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required:
Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) is required post-hire within two (2) years.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong organizational, leadership, and time management abilities. Skilled in employee recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, LearningSpace, and simulation technology. Experienced in simulation program coordination, quality assurance, data management, reporting, and documentation. Demonstrates strong project management, problem-solving, collaboration, and professionalism while supporting a positive image of the Clinical Skills Center.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with clinical skills center faculty and personnel across the state to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Collaborate with prospective patrons to assess their organization's learning needs that can be met through Simulated Participant (SP) activities; this includes but is not limited to tailoring new cases to meet their learning needs.
- Monitors, evaluates, and provides ongoing feedback to Simulated Participants (SPs) and Gynecological Teaching Associates (GTAs) on script portrayal and feedback accuracy, quality assessment, and improvement.
- Collects and analyzes Simulated Participant (SP) and Gynecological Teaching Associate (GTA) training and performance data after each assessment to ensure standardization and meeting standards of best practice.
- Active in onboarding Simulated Participants (SPs) and Gynecological Teaching Associates (GTAs) by recruiting and interviewing new SPs. Updating and implementing an initial three step training process for all SPs.
- Manages LearningSpace software and data including adding users, setting up review access for faculty and students, exporting student grades, developing cases, creating activities, generating reports, and associating room/computer stations.
- Manages the tracking of CSC budget and learner hours for use in annual reporting.
- Maintains simulation documentation by maintaining and enforcing documented simulation center policies and procedures; manages documentation and secure confidential storage of digital data.
- Oversees and trains new sim coordinators, SPs, and GTAs on software and audiovisual equipment set-up, function checks, operation, shut-down, troubleshooting, and repair procedures, including annual system updates.
- Fosters positive relationships with schools/departments and assists faculty with the planning and execution of SP and GTA simulation activities.
- Participates in regular departmental meetings, conference presentations and research projects as appropriate. Participates in community outreach programs and marketing; documents history of simulation center events.
