Worker: General

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to provide general operational support by performing a variety of manual and routine tasks to ensure the efficient functioning of the workplace. The General Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, assisting with loading and unloading, handling materials and equipment, and carrying out other duties as assigned to support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from the Warehouse Supervisor to which truck to off load
• De-stack pallets to ensure correct pallet configuration and quantities
• Ensure each pallets is stack as per correct batch code and expiry date
• Identify any items that are damaged and advise the Inbound Checker
• Ensure that all hand-bool stock is properly shrink wrapped
• Ensure housekeeping is up to standard
• If operationally required assist where needed within the operation

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric – Essential

Languages

· English - verbal and written
