What would you do? The Sr. Analyst / Analyst – Supplier Management is responsible for end-to-end onboarding and operational management of direct and non-direct suppliers for the clothing retail business. The role ensures supplier data accuracy, timely resolution of supplier queries, strong governance across supplier processes, and delivery of insightful reporting to support commercial and supply chain decision-making. In supply chain planning, "Source" refers to the process of identifying and procuring the necessary materials and services from suppliers. This includes selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. The goal is to ensure a reliable supply of quality materials at the best cost. Effective sourcing helps maintain production schedules and control costs. It is essential for the smooth operation of the supply chain. Supplier relationship management (SRM) is the discipline of strategically planning for, and managing, all interactions with third party organizations that supply goods and/or services to maximize the value of those interactions. Develops metrics for tracking supplier KPIs focusing on Cost to Serve, Cycle time, Contract compliance and Customer Satisfaction.
What are we looking for? •Microsoft Excel •Written and verbal communication • Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree • 5-8 years of experience in retail operations, supply chain, pricing, or merchandising support • Experience in clothing / fashion retail is a strong advantage. • Strong data handling skills (MS Excel, spreadsheets, reporting tools) • Experience with retail systems such as ERP, RMS, pricing or merchandising tools •Supply Chain & Merchandising Strategy •Supply Chain Management (SCM) Applications • High attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to manage multiple timelines in a fast-paced retail environment • Problem-solving mindset with strong follow-through • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial and operational teams
Roles and Responsibilities: Supplier Onboarding & Governance • Lead onboarding of direct (garment manufacturers, fabric mills) and non-direct suppliers (trims, packaging, logistics, service providers). • Coordinate supplier setup across systems (ERP, PLM, finance, compliance platforms). • Ensure suppliers meet commercial, legal, ethical, and compliance requirements (contracts, certifications, audits, sustainability documentation). • Maintain supplier master data accuracy and ensure adherence to internal governance standards. Supplier Query & Relationship Management • Act as a key point of contact for supplier operational queries related to onboarding, payment, documentation, pricing setup, and system access. • Manage and track supplier queries through defined SLAs, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication. • Work closely with Buying, Merchandising, Finance, Compliance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve escalations. • Support continuous improvement of supplier communication and self-service processes. Reporting & Analytics • Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting on supplier onboarding status, query volumes, turnaround times, compliance metrics, and performance KPIs. • Analyse supplier data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. • Provide insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders to drive process efficiency and supplier performance. • Support audits and management reviews with accurate data and documentation. Process Improvement & Controls • Identify opportunities to streamline supplier onboarding and query management processes. • Support implementation of system enhancements, automation, and standard operating procedures. • Ensure compliance with internal controls, data quality standards, and regulatory requirements. • Contribute to training materials and knowledge management for supplier management processes.
