Senior Civil Engineer

The Senior Civil Engineer for ngGONG plays a key role in translating scientific vision into buildable, long-lasting observatory sites for the National Solar Observatory’s next-generation global network. Supporting a major international project in the design phase, this role leads civil and architectural concepts for site development, buildings, foundations, and infrastructure while ensuring compliance with codes, safety, and permitting requirements. Through coordination with multidisciplinary teams, external A&E partners, and site stakeholders, the Senior Civil Engineer balances performance, constructability, cost, schedule, and site-specific constraints to enable reliable operations and world-class solar science for decades to come.
