Job Description
As a key member of the End User Product Development Team (PDT), the Naval Operations Integration Specialist helps ensure that future Royal Canadian Navy operators receive systems, equipment, and documentation that are safe, effective, and ready for operational use. This role bridges operational experience and technical delivery, bringing a practical, end‑user perspective to how shipboard systems are introduced and used in service. The Specialist leads and supports the development of Operability Statements (OPSTATs), working with subject matter experts to ensure they clearly describe how equipment will be operated, supported, and maintained in real‑world naval environments. The Naval Operations Integration Specialist works closely with Human Systems Integration (HSI), Training, and Crewing teams to ensure operational information is accurately reflected in training, staffing, and skill requirements. Working within the River‑class Destroyer Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, this role represents fleet and operator needs, supports the assessment of engineering changes, and contributes to documentation, system testing, trials, and ship acceptance activities. Overall, the role plays a key part in ensuring new and updated systems are ready to be safely and effectively brought into naval service.
