Role summary:

This individual will be a senior member of the International Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance in APAC and EMEA. The International Finance team is responsible for the financial operations, accounting, control and reporting for the international subsidiaries of Blackstone.
 

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership & Oversight
• Serve as a strategic partner to International leadership to scale Blackstone’s platform through centralized oversight, process standardization, and talent development in India;
• Act as primary liaison to EMEA and APAC teams, driving continuous process improvement and ensuring alignment on priorities;
• Oversee Blackstone Bangalore resources, as well as work with third party teams, focused on financial accounting, controls and reporting. Setting the tone for overall team strategy and connectivity to the broader Blackstone organization.


Corporate and Financial Reporting
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, timelines and deliverables;
• Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions with close linkages across Procurement, Payroll, etc;
• Maintain and continuously improve internal controls over financial reporting;
• Prepare and review reconciliations among all business groups and regions;
• Lead the production and analysis of local GAAP financial statements, board and management packs and regulatory and tax returns.
Transformation
• Lead and actively contribute in re-engineering initiatives to assess current accounting operations and recommend improvement opportunities;
• Support on system implementations and technology initiatives;
• Foster collaboration within Global Finance and other key departments across the globe.

 

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Chartered Accountant with at least 12+ / 15+ years of progressive financial reporting experience, with no less than 7 years in a leadership role in a fast-paced environment;
• Experience with IFRS / Local GAAP / US GAAP a requirement
• Strong technical accounting skills;
• Ability to multitask, adaptable and work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines;
• Proficiency in a multi currency global general ledger a requirement
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal
