Job Description

Position Summary

As an Audio-Visual Installation Manager, you will be responsible for all of the field techs, schedules, client and consultant relations while working with the Sales & Management team to ensure all projects are staffed efficiently to ensure project, client and consultant success. Additional responsibilities include developing and producing programs which include the design, set-up, and execution of audio video equipment. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Ensure the maximum in client service, operational efficiency, and profitability levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management of internal and external resources for successful project results
  • Effectively manage multiple projects
  • Responsible for the set-up and operation of the audio/visual equipment within the assigned project
  • Understand AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Positive, professional image
  • Lead AV teams project setups from start to finish
  • Responsible for looking ahead for barriers that may affect AV implementation and develop strategies to resolve unforeseen problems.
  • Accountable for assisting in maintaining project inventory of all Technical equipment
  • Keep open lines of communication with management at all times
  • Ensure installation, testing, and troubleshooting of AV systems which includes displays, projectors, video conferencing equipment, control systems, etc.
  • Review performance and deliverables and regularly meet with client/subject matter export to ensure compliance with their requirements and expectations
  • Source new vendor partnerships
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders
  • Understand desired event outcomes and contribute to planning and implementation of technical solutions to achieve desired outcomes
  • Other duties as directed by Director or Senior management.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.

Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience of on the job communications work experience as well as demonstrated skills at a leadership level

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Must have a current Drivers License, and own reliable transportation.
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
  • Great customer service skills with positive energy
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of event electrical service and rigging designs
  • Experience with live streaming technology
  • CTS, CTS I and or CTS D

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

  1. Must be able to travers and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing reaching, bending crawling, standing, or stretching.
  2. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Move about on the feet regularly. Sit for extended periods of time.
  3. Requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  4. May require travel.
  5. Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
  6. Talk and hear, ability to communicate with others both written and orally and by telephone.
  7. Possess good vision, normal or corrected. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  8. Possesses good hearing, normal or corrected. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest), as needed.
  9. Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts, as needed. Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
  10. Must be able to work in the presence of customers and their representatives with little or no interference or disruption to the customer while maintaining a professional and courteous image.
