Financial Controller (fixed-term contract)

Main Responsibilities:

•  Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decision-making.
•  Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
•  Cost Control & Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective cost control measures to enhance profitability.
•  Risk Management: Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company's financial security.
•  Business Partnering: Act as a strategic financial partner to operational, financial, and commercial departments, providing insights and support to drive performance and informed decision-making.

Core Competencies:

• Experience: Between 1 - 3 years of experience in controlling or a similar area;
• Accounting Principles: In-depth understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting: Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Proficiency in developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Industry-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with the food retail industry, including market trends and financial challenges.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address financial issues and implement effective solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling software.
