Job Information:
- Communicates on a consistent bases with supply chain leadership, customers and associates to ensure customer and departmental needs/requirements are met. Consistently communicates critical information which may impact service levels.
- Identifies problems and provides solutions to Supply Chain Leadership.
- Ensures quantity and quality of incoming product using applicable equipment (i.e., handheld or personal computer) and computer system/s.
- Leads team to receive, fill, transport and deliver orders to designated areas using applicable systems and equipment (i.e., material handling, handheld and/or personal computer). Addresses discrepancies of shipments and invoices.
- Maintains and optimizes assigned inventories, ensures First In First Out (FIFO) is practiced.
- Maintains the overall cleanliness, safety and security of the receiving, storage facility (i.e., hospital, department, ASC and/or medical office) operations.
- Leads and works with clinical leaders through action and education to achieve product standardization, optimum inventory locations and/or levels and reduction of operating expenses.
- Monitors and audits outdated product checks, documents findings and completes required processes related to obsolete and/or dated/expired products. Including reporting issues to the procurement department and the service center.
- Checks e-mails/voicemail, faxes and phone for supply requests and/or delivery/product issues and either resolves or forwards information to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Responsible for ensuring that assigned team delivers product and STAT/RUSH orders to various Virtua departments/locations to meet the needs of the supply chain departments and customer.
- Attends meetings as required including daily huddles, product committees etc.
- Participates in annual physical inventories.
- Responsible for timekeeping of designated associates/ areas.
- Responsible for the orientation and training of new employees and others as requested.
- Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned, including covering supply chain associate shortages.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Minimum of 2-year prior materials management experience, in a healthcare setting preferred.
Basic knowledge/skills in computer use (data entry, email usage)
Knowledge of inventory and stocking to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Required Education:
HS degree or equivalent
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification, may be required.
