Blackbaud is looking for a Sr. Security Engineer to join our organization and help drive the Cyber Cloud Engineering strategy forward. As a member of the team, the candidate will identify solutions to complex problems and accelerate engineering efforts across all Cyber capabilities in the Company's multi-cloud environment.
The successful candidate will be passionate about technology and possess a strong background in cybersecurity. They will serve as a cloud and endpoint subject matter expert (SME) and be responsible for enhancing the Company's cloud security posture program.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with various functional teams across Blackbaud to securely design, develop, implement, and maintain solutions
Elicit and listen to user experience to appropriately drive improvement in Cybersecurity solutions
Engineer secure APIs and API Gateway integration for microservices
Engineer cross-platform with multiple coding languages for Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions
Responsible for building and maintaining Cybersecurity’s cloud infrastructure through CSPM tooling
Partner with Security Solution Architects and Security Enterprise Architects
Partner with the Corp IT and Data Loss Prevention organization to mature endpoint capabilities and enhance user experience
Mentoring junior developer and engineering teammates
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant degree or equivalent work experience
Previous experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., jAMF, Intune, VMWare)
5 + years’ experience in developer, software, security engineering roles
4+ years’ experience with Public Cloud and its native API and API gateway solutions
4+ years’ experience in cybersecurity role
Experience with more than one relevant language like Terraform, Python, Java, .NET / C#, Ruby
Experience with JSON, XML, YAML
Experience with engineering authentication and authorization security including modern authentication methods like Oauth2.0
Experience with serverless architecture / Functions as a Service (FaaS) from Public Cloud providers (e.g. Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service, AWS Lambda, AWS Lambda@Edge, AWS Fargate)
Possesses effective communication and collaboration skills
Experience working in matrix teams and solo projects/efforts
Ability to handle multiple priorities and high stress situation
Ability to deliver work that meets all minimum standards of security, quality and operability.
