Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk! In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout our warehouse and manufacturing facility. You will play a critical role in shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and maintaining compliance with safety and material handling requirements.

 

As a key member of the operations team, you'll help ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time while supporting inventory accuracy and warehouse organization. What You’ll Do

  • Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments and prepare outbound shipments for customer orders and carrier pickups

  • Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records

  • Organize warehouse space, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers

  • Perform inventory transactions within the SAP system, complete physical inventories, and inventory discrepancy investigations

  • Ensure proper handling, storage, segregation, and identification of pool chemicals and other hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures, OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations

  • Complete shipping, receiving raw materials for BOM, and lot traceability documentation accurately and timely.

  • This position will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as preparing items for shipment

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with production, planning, transportation, warehouse coordinator, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and on-time customer deliveries

  • Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and participate in safety meetings, training programs, and inspections

 

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or forklift experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred

  • Ability to obtain forklift certification

  • Strong computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to read shipping documents, pick lists, bills of lading, and hazardous material documentation

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to frequently lift, move, push, or pull up to 40 pounds

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift

  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements

  • Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures

  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed footwear, and respiratory protection when required
