PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Silver Strike Resident Manager is responsible for delivering overall owner, guest, and employee satisfaction at Silver Strike Lodge.
This position is required to live on property full time. A one-bedroom residence is provided complimentary, including all utilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Property & Facilities Management
- Provide oversight related to all building management and maintenance issues
- Monitor maintenance projects to completion and work with sub-contractors as needed, act as lead contact for reserve studies that will be conducted every 3 years
- Learn and understand basic building mechanics, inspect the property and physical assets daily
- Negotiate contracts with sub-contractors and partners
- Ensure that monthly security and unit wellness checks are completed, monitored for completeness based on checklist protocol, and proactively communicate with owners
HOA Governance & Financial Oversight
- Lead association board meetings and annual meetings; take minutes and facilitate board elections
- Liaise with HOA board bi-weekly (or as needed) to review projects and processes
- Review and summarize monthly balance sheet and profit & loss statements
- Review all invoices and complete bill-pay prior to board approval, including explanations for unusual expenses
- Develop and regularly monitor the annual HOA budget
Food & Beverage Operations
- Coordinate, facilitate, and operate all food and beverage programming and services
- Plan and forecast activity levels to ensure appropriate food and beverage ordering
- Supervise food and beverage team members assisting with operations
Community Relations & Leadership
- Serve as a primary point of contact for owners to alert the HOA of problems, complaints, infractions of rules, and suggestions for approval
- Send monthly newsletters with updates on the property and surrounding area
- Foster a welcoming environment for owners, guests, and staff
- Act as a community leader building relationships with owners and guests
- Lead a continuous improvement culture to enhance service and efficiency
- Attend weekly meetings with Deer Valley management; collaborate across departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two years management experience in the hospitality industry required
- Experience managing employees, facilities, and HOAs strongly preferred
- Understanding of budgets, financials, P&L statements strongly preferred
- Food and beverage experience strongly preferred
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs., carry luggage, and have a valid driver's license
- Have or be willing to obtain Food Safety Manager certification, Alcohol Certification, and PMC certification
