Job Description
Job Summary
Prepare food in recommended portions for our clients following the daily production sheet and paying careful attention to food safety and timely completion.
Pay: $12/hour
Availability:
- Approximately 8 hours per week, scheduled during weekday mornings (Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.)
- Availability for the entire time block or all five days is not required.
Responsibilities
- Gather ingredients required according to daily production sheets.
- Prepare foods; portioning, capping, and packaging following recipes, menus, and proper food handling procedures. Preparation may require chopping, slicing, pureeing, and snapping bread etc. according to instructions.
- Prepare desserts, which may require baking, cooking, making frosting for cupcakes, etc.
- Participate in tray-line assembly and pack hot food in containers for delivery. Transport filled containers to appropriate delivery area.
- Keep the work area organized and clean.
- Complete and submit paperwork daily.
- Perform any other assigned activity required to expedite the meals.
- Participate in Tray Line Assembly.
- Participate in Bag Line Assembly and pack cold foods onto designated carts.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Food service experience preferred.
Education
- PNW Work-Study Student
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Medium Work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
- Physical activity includes crouching, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling as well as repetitive motions of wrists and hands.
- Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
- Environmental conditions include machine noise and workers may be exposed to extreme cold for short periods of time.
- Reliable, consistent punctuality and physical attendance are required.
