Based in our London hub, you will ensure our products are compliant - from the engineering/design phase through to product launch and support. This role requires a deep understanding of hardware standards (UKCA, CE, UL) and the ability to maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) across our entire unattended retail product range.
What You'll Do
- Define and govern the regulatory roadmap for all product lines, ensuring all hardware products comply with national standards in the UK, EU, and North America.
- Lead the certification lifecycle for new and existing products, specifically managing submissions for UKCA, CE, UL, and FCC markings.
- Act as the primary liaison with external test labs, notified bodies, and regulatory agencies to coordinate testing and resolve compliance gaps.
- Manage and refine the Technical Construction Files (TCF), ensuring all Declarations of Conformity and supporting evidence are audit-ready.
Quality Management & Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), driving continuous improvement in accordance with ISO 9001 or similar frameworks to ensure operational excellence.
- Drive "Compliance by Design" by collaborating with our engineering teams early in the development cycle to integrate regulatory requirements into the initial specifications and Product Requirement Documents.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics related to field failures and non-conformances, supporting the relevant teams to undertake Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.
What You'll Bring
- 8–10+ years of experience in product compliance or quality engineering, with a proven track record in a Senior or Lead role.
- Expert-level knowledge of international certification standards, including:
- Europe/UK: CE Marking (EMC, Low Voltage/Machinery Directives, RED, RoHS) and UKCA.
- North America: UL and FCC safety standards.
- Proven ability to manage complex documentation, including Technical Files, User Manuals, and compliance labels for global markets.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex regulatory legal text and translating it into actionable engineering requirements for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability regulations (WEEE, Packaging Waste) is a significant plus.
Why Join Us
