JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that all work requests pertaining to kitchens, function rooms, food outlets and public areas are maintained with a reasonable amount of repair.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on commercial kitchen equipment.
Repair and maintain all commercial kitchen equipment including stove tops, ovens, hot boxes, and small appliances
Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers for the hot water system.
Maintain and repair dish washing equipment
Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks promptly.
Maintain correct stock/inventory of kitchen parts and communicate when replenishment is needed.
Respond to all requests from guests and associates.
Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
Keep all work areas clean.
Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures.
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
Performs other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous maintenance experience required; hotel experience preferred.
Commercial kitchen experience preferred; commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.
Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing, and gas systems.
Experience in reading and interpreting schematics.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, computer proficiency, and a focus on guest satisfaction are essential.
Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions.
May be asked to be part of “ride-out” crew during severe weather events
Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts.
ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
Requires repetitive motion, including the use of handheld and powered tools.
