POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The person will:

Perform a moderate number of simple or moderate technical procedures including: 

1. • 1. 1. Mouse tail clipping (low complexity and weekly)
        2. Genotyping with mouse tails (Low complexity weekly)
        3. Preparation of laboratory solutions (low complexity weekly/monthly)
        4. Mouse necropsy with supervision and assistance (medium complexity monthly or less with supervision)
   • Require occasional guidance;
   • Occasionally be responsible for ordering routine supplies;
   • Rarely modify technical procedures;
   • Rarely train other lab members;
   • Rarely guide other lab members;
   • A simple / limited understanding of scientific literature and the research goals and rationale is required;
   • Occasionally analyze data;
   • Rarely interpret data;
   • Rarely make written contributions to papers and grant proposals.*

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required to have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a related science or equivalent skills and related experience, and zero to two years of related experience.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract.
