Position Summary
The Standards & Documentation Coordinator is an individual contributor role within the Standardization & Governance team of the Value Chain Optimization (VCO) organization. This role is responsible for administering and maintaining the enterprise “single source of truth” for approved process and design standards, ensuring documentation is accurate, consistent, traceable, and readily accessible.
The Standards & Documentation Coordinator executes version control and documentation updates following governance‑approved change‑control decisions, coordinates review and approval workflows, and maintains visibility into standards health and exceptions. Working closely with the Process Assurance Analyst, Value Chain Excellence Advisors, and process owners, this role ensures that approved standards are properly published, communicated, and sustained over time.
Success in this role depends on strong documentation discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across stakeholders to support governance outcomes without owning policy or decision authority.
Key Responsibilities
Administers and maintains the Value Chain Optimization “single source of truth” repository for approved process and design standards, standard operating procedures, work instructions, job aids, templates, and tools.
Executes version control, release documentation, and audit‑readiness updates for approved standards following governance‑approved change‑control decisions.
Produces and maintains standard templates, audit checklists, and “what changed / why” release narratives to support clarity, consistency, and traceability.
Coordinates cross‑functional review cycles for new or updated standards, routing them through defined governance workflows for
Global Process Owner (GPO) review and approval.
Maintains exception logs, remediation tracking, and standard health metrics, providing visibility to governance and process owners for review and disposition.
Ensures consistency and comparability of standards across functions and regions through application of templates, formatting rules, and metadata conventions.
Supports governance and alignment forums by preparing materials, documenting outcomes, and distributing approved decisions and next steps to relevant stakeholders.
Identifies opportunities to improve standard usability, accessibility, and lifecycle management, escalating enhancement ideas through governance channels.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Technical Writing, Communications, or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum Experience
Two (2) years of experience in standards management, documentation coordination, or enterprise content management.
Experience with document control systems, cross-functional stakeholder coordination, and governance or compliance workflows preferred.
Skills
Standards Documentation & Version Control – Strong discipline in standards documentation, formatting, version control, and records management.
Repository & Lifecycle Management – Experience administering enterprise repositories, applying metadata conventions, and managing standards throughout their lifecycle.
Quality & Consistency Focus – High attention to detail with the ability to ensure consistency, comparability, and usability of standards across functions and regions.
Cross‑Functional Coordination – Ability to coordinate reviews, approvals, and updates across cross‑functional stakeholders and ensure timely completion.
