We have obtained FDA approval and officially begun the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System. This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients.
We are seeking an Equipment and Parts Management Technician who is responsible for managing the organization, inventory control, procurement and operation of a spare parts management system used in maintaining medical devices manufacturing equipment. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO 13485) and internal quality systems by maintaining accurate records and ensuring equipment operates within specified tolerances.
Please note, this opportunity is an onsite work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Your responsibilities will be to:
Develop and implement an effective inventory management system for equipment spare parts
Collaborate with subject matter experts to:
Determine the spare parts requirements for custom-built and off-the-shelf equipment
Ensure documentation for custom parts is complete and suitable for ordering parts from fabrication supplie
Supporting equipment maintenance and engineering teams by providing spare parts in a timely manner to reduce unplanned downtime
Order spare parts from suppliers, and work closely with them to ensure timely delivery
Forecast part usage by analyzing historical data to optimize inventory levels
Implement and maintain organized and efficient physical infrastructure for parts storage and management

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
Effective written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills
Excellent organizational, and multitasking skills
Experience with CAD software, ideally Solidworks
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and documentation
Minimum 3 years’ experience in parts or inventory management
Technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Flexible and able to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate
Ability to lift and handle equipment and parts as heavy as 20 kg as required
Experience working in a cleanroom environment is desirable
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) software
Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment such as ISO13485 or AS9100 preferred.
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
$64,000 - $77,000 (CAD Annually)
