The Opportunity

APM Terminals is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the team in Pecém, Brazil. This role plays a critical part in attracting, engaging, and hiring top talent while delivering an exceptional candidate experience. Acting as a strategic partner to hiring managers and stakeholders, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will help build diverse, high-performing teams that support business growth and operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

Talent Sourcing

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans.

  • Advertise open positions and proactively source qualified candidates.

  • Identify and assess internal talent for career opportunities.

Candidate Assessment

  • Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings.

  • Coordinate and facilitate phone interviews and selection processes.

  • Manage assessment activities and support hiring decisions.

  • Initiate and review background screening processes.

Offer Management

  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment on compensation, benefits, and offer governance.

  • Support successful offer negotiations and candidate acceptance.

Market Intelligence

  • Analyze talent markets and identify the most effective sourcing channels.

  • Stay informed on recruitment trends, talent insights, and industry best practices.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

  • Gather and manage interview feedback to support informed hiring decisions.

  • Partner with onboarding teams to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.

Compliance & Data Integrity

  • Maintain accurate candidate records and hiring statuses in Workday.

  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies and local labor regulations.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate is passionate about matching talent to business needs and delivering an exceptional candidate experience from application to onboarding. They are comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently, and building strong relationships with candidates and stakeholders.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Fluent Portuguese and advanced English.

  • Spanish is considered an advantage.

  • Experience with process improvement, standardization, and project implementation is a plus.

  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to assess talent and make data-driven hiring decisions.

  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of employer branding and candidate attraction strategies.

  • Experience supporting Diversity & Inclusion initiatives within Talent Acquisition.

  • Structured work approach with a focus on delivering results.
