The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Engineer – Control Performance & Simulation Models to join our Product Portfolio Management team. This role is key to managing the lifecycle, requirements, configuration, and roadmap for the control performance and simulation models in our solutions. Embedded in the Engineering function, you’ll collaborate closely with technical and product stakeholders to ensure our solutions meet business needs, customer expectations, and industry standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Translate market needs, standards, grid codes, and customer‑specific requirements into Product Requirement Specifications (PRS) and drive the roadmap for control system performance and simulation models in coordination with Global Product Specialist (GPS).
- Coordinate closely with R&D to oversee the lifecycle of FACTS Control Platform and simulation models, ensuring structured releases, version control, and prioritization of change requests based on their impact on control performance, simulation models, and engineering documentation.
- Drive the development, maintenance, and governance of control performance documentation, modelling guidelines, and technical references, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
- Manage the portfolio of simulation models (EMT, RMS, and supporting tools) across technologies and software platforms, ensuring compatibility, robustness, and maintainability.
- Stay current with simulation platforms, grid codes, and industry standards (e.g. IEEE, CIGRÉ), and promote innovative control and modeling concepts to enhance performance, efficiency, and competitiveness.
- Capture feedback from tenders and projects and lead continuous improvements to control concepts and simulation models based on lessons learned and operational experience.
- Collaborate across disciplines, business units, and regions to align control performance expectations and modelling approaches across technologies.
- Support defining and governing IP‑protection and model‑sharing strategies, collaborating with legal, R&D, and engineering stakeholders to balance openness, performance, and protection.
Your Background
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in control system performance, dynamic simulations, and/or development and governance of simulation models for power electronic–based systems.
- Strong experience working with cross‑functional, international teams in engineering‑driven environments.
- Proven experience in product ownership, lifecycle management, or portfolio governance is highly desirable.
- Strategic and operational mindset with focus on business productivity, scalability, and long‑term maintainability.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
