We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as SVP, Securities Based Lending Advisor (Internal Job Title: Product Manager - C14) based in Hong Kong. In this role, you’re expected to:
Citi Wealth Lending provides competitive borrowing solutions that are strategically integrated into our Clients’ broader Wealth Management goals. Our Lending Advisors serve as dedicated and trusted partners to Wealth Client Advisors, helping them to deliver lending solutions that support clients’ investment and liquidity objectives.
The Senior Vice President, Securities Based Lending (“SBL”) Advisor will be part of the Asia SBL Advisory team supporting the Citigold and Citigold Private Client (CGCPC) segment, with lead coverage for the Asia North Wealth business based in Hong Kong. The role is responsible for driving business growth through delivering best-in-class product advisory and Client touchpoints, while managing risk as well as portfolio returns as first line of control and subject‑matter expert. The role works closely with Client Advisors, Lending teams such as In Business Risk, Legal, Compliance, as well as Risk and Control partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with CGCPC Wealth Advisors to originate and drive new business volumes, integrate SBL solutions into their books of business through strategic engagement and ongoing education
Guide advisors on appropriate collateral and exposure management strategies to drive sustainable leverage in line with Clients’ liquidity, investment, and risk objectives
Manage Client touchpoints and documentation, as well as product portfolio pricing
Act as the first line of control and subject‑matter expert for SBL solutions, lead discussions with Frontline, Operations, and other Lending stakeholders to deliver product, platform and process excellence
Identify lending opportunities using data‑driven insights, portfolio analytics, and proactive client segmentation
Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and product gaps; share insights and opportunities to Wealth Lending leadership
Establish a reputation for execution excellence, strong risk judgment, and trusted partnership with Wealth Advisors, Business Management, as well as Risk and Control partners
Maintain responsibility for a healthy, compliant lending portfolio, ensuring adherence to regulatory, credit, and control standards
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in wealth management or private bank lending, including origination, structuring, and credit analysis
Demonstrated experience advising Affluent, HNW, and/or UHNW Clients on lending solutions
Strong expertise in Securities‑Based Lending with good understanding of Investments preferred
Ability to advise advisors / clients on leverage strategies and think creatively in delivering market-leading solutions.
Solid understanding of financial markets, investments, and wealth management
Data‑driven, strategic approach to opportunity identification and pipeline management
Strong credit acumen with disciplined risk judgment
Excel in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented, regulated environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with Mandarin / Cantonese an advantage
Strong initiative, accountability, and collaboration
Bachelor’s Degree required
