Intro (catchy sentence / high level context of where the job fits) Technical Architect - UK, Lloyd’s & Delegated Bangalore, Karnataka, India The Technical Architect role is the lead technologist for UK, Lloyd’s and Delegated, working alongside the Senior Technical Architect(s)
The Technical Architect is a hands-on, execution focused role helping translate the strategy, define technical architecture, and deliver the solution
Major focus for this role is to provide technical leadership in AXA XL application changes and data flow and oversee delivery of technical changes
This role is expected to have a robust hands-on technical leadership in particularly the Delegated domain
What you’ll bring (skills / expertise What will your essential responsibilities include
Responsible for the technical design and technical delivery of the Delegated domain
Translates the high-level designs into the technical specifications to facilitate efficient and effective development and unit testing Producing quality, secure, scalable, high-performing, and resilient designs for new or improved services Lead the systems analysts, developers, and testers in sympathetic change to the applications Hands on development of key solutions or solution templates Lead the development teams to help assist PI planning and prioritisation
Monitor change and perform reviews as needed Support Product Owners to develop and maintain the Product Roadmap Responsible for partnering with engineers, DevOps engineers, Administrators, and other roles responsible for implementing solutions to ensure sound infrastructure solution options are leveraged Responsible for supporting DevOps Standards and designing the CI/CD pipelines and the automated deployment and gating mechanisms Define and maintain development standards such as technical specification (Low level design) and data design, coding, etc
Maintain a capacity plan with historical performance metrics, a future forecast, and a capacity model to ensure services and infrastructure deliver performance and growth targets in a cost effective and proactive manner Manage architecture exceptions (waivers, technical debt & security mitigations) for the application, including identifying, documenting, taking through approval process, and remediation where and when possible Monitor application services to ensure performance consistently meets non-functional requirements (response time, security, etc.) Perform deliverable reviews and manage measurement of deliverable quality within the Delivery Team Work collaboratively with vendor resources Assist to identify proactive maintenance work Work with the Product Delivery Leads in defining, analyzing, planning, measuring and improving product availability and continuity Leads the DevOps team and developers in targeted use of DevOps for their application platform assets
With the Senior Technical Architect(s), uphold technical integrity of UK, Lloyd’s and Delegated domain at the logical and physical level, ensuring designs and changes done based on a robust architectural foundation
