As a Business Process Analyst III/Senior within Power Innovation, you will develop advanced estimating tools and analytical solutions that support large-scale power generation and infrastructure projects. You’ll apply machine learning, AI, and data engineering techniques to improve cost accuracy, scenario analysis, and decision-making across early-phase development and execution. 

This role is highly integrated with estimating, engineering, and project controls, requiring both technical depth and strong business understanding. You’ll translate complex datasets into scalable tools that drive consistency, transparency, and speed in how projects are evaluated and delivered. 

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Analyzes existing business processes; assists with developing sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements

  • Creates and coordinates process improvement opportunities, researches and develops operational standards and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased efficiency and reduced costs

  • Applies data analysis and technological skills to fulfil data analysis requests, produce metric reports, and support business decisions using data

  • Leads multiple company partners to ensure organizational alignment and project success

  • Drives development of change management activities

  • Designs and develops estimating tools and analytical models to support cost forecasting, scenario analysis, and project evaluation across development and execution phases

  • Integrates cost, schedule, and technical datasets into scalable analytical frameworks to support estimating and decision-making processes

  • Applies statistical, predictive, and machine learning techniques to identify cost drivers, sensitivities, and project risks

  • Develops practical analytical tools and solutions that are actively used by business teams to support planning, estimating, and execution decisions

  • Partners with estimating, engineering, and project controls teams to standardize data structures, improve workflows, and enhance consistency in analytical outputs

  • Creates tools and models that enable rapid evaluation of project configurations, phasing strategies, and technology options

  • Translates complex datasets into actionable insights that improve decision-making for large-scale infrastructure or energy projects

  • Demonstrates ability to build practical, business-facing analytical tools (in addition to developing models) that support real-time decision-making 

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

Business Process Analyst Senior:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related major and seven (7) years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years’ experience in data analysis, project management, process improvement, or other related experience

Business Process Analyst III:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related major and five (5) years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and seven (7) years’ experience in data analysis, project management, process improvement, or other related experience

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills

  • Strong experience applying data science, analytics, or modeling within engineering, construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments

  • Proficiency in business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) for developing dashboards, reporting, and communicating analytical outputs

  • Experience working with integrated datasets including cost, schedule, and technical information to support forecasting and scenario analysis

  • Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams including engineering, estimating, and project controls to drive alignment and data standardization 

  • Preferred: Proficiency with analytics languages (i.e. SQL, Python, etc.) and platforms (i.e. Power BI, Microsoft Access, Oracle, and etc.)

  • Preferred: Proficiency with process mapping and value stream mapping
