Position Overview
The Analyst I – Global Trade Content is responsible for the accurate compilation, analysis, and maintenance of Harmonized System (HS) trade content across global markets. This role supports content integrity through regulatory research, data standardization, and quality assurance. As part of a technology-enabled environment, the role actively leverages AI tools and data platforms to enhance operational efficiency, improve workflows, and deliver high-quality trade content aligned with business and customer needs.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Analyst I – Global Trade Content, you will:
- Conduct regulatory research, analyze global trade laws and tariff updates, and maintain assigned datasets using official sources and AI-enabled tools to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Transform and standardize regulatory data into system-compatible formats, performing validation and quality checks through a combination of analytical methods and AI-assisted processes.
- Manage end-to-end content delivery for assigned areas, ensuring work is accurate, on time, and aligned with product specifications, SLAs, and customer needs.
- Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to resolve customer inquiries, support product requirements, and contribute to content and feature enhancements, including testing and issue identification.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and implementing solutions using AI, automation, and workflow optimization to improve efficiency, quality, and turnaround time.
- Support data sourcing, stakeholder coordination, and documentation by maintaining reliable sources, updating process materials, and ensuring knowledge is captured and accessible.
- Contribute to team capability by sharing knowledge, supporting peer training, and actively participating in initiatives that improve processes, tools, and overall team performance.
- Support project-related activities including data collection, analysis, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with Thomson Reuters Ways of Working, including ethical AI use, data privacy, and governance standards.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Analyst I – Global Trade Content if your background includes:
- A Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, or a related field, with strong analytical and quantitative skills to independently research, interpret, and validate complex trade data.
- Intermediate experience using Excel, databases, statistical or data visualization tools, along with hands-on use of AI tools to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and improve processes.
- Experience delivering accurate, high-quality work within deadlines, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and continuously improve processes using data-driven and AI-enabled approaches.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to shared goals, and effectively communicating insights, issues, and solutions to peers and stakeholders.
- Strong accountability, adaptability, and learning agility, with a proactive approach to skill development, process improvement, and evolving business needs.
- Japanese language proficiency (reading required) to analyze regulations and official publications; JLPT N2 or equivalent for non-native speakers.
