Family Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric)

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:  Reporting to the Director of Medicine and the Facility Medical Director, the family nurse practitioner (FNP) provides comprehensive medical care to adult patients with serious mental illness in a psychiatric setting following evidenced based approaches. The FNP acts as a member of an interdisciplinary clinical team and works collaboratively with other team members to provide patient care. The patient population served consists of adults and adolescents with chronic and persistent mental health conditions served by the state’s mental health authority. Patients have complex bio-psycho-social needs and may be forensically involved.
